Just a warning, this is almost like an advertisement, just I didn’t get paid anything for it. Though I do expect a fully loaded Mercedes Benz to be delivered to my door in short order out of appreciation, I wrote this review of in2streams out of the goodness of my heart…and for a love of free cars. Free car? Anyone?
We have cable television in our home as delivered by Sasktel. There are a plethora of channels on there which offer up a wide array of content. That being the case, the last time I turned the television on for my own use was during the election and before that, it had probably been close to at least five or six months. Why I was watching television five or six months ago I can not tell you. I can’t even be sure that I was actually watching cable television six months ago but I figure it’s a reasonable assumption.
Despite the fact that I never flip on the television, I still watch all the shows I like and no, I haven’t bought the box set of Stargate SG1 or all the seasons of south park on sale at Wal-Mart for 83 cents and the ownership of a frightened Asian child. He’ll knit you sweaters too. Great deal.
Anyhow, as I write this blog post, I am watching the 5th episode of Stargate Atlantis, season 4. Colonel Sheppard has been captured by some space faring race for some reason or another and he got beat up. The person in charge has great knockers and for some reason has been unable to actually persuade the walking hormone bubble character to give anything up. Course it could be because she just threatened to jettison him out into space…so her personality is kind of lacking.
The way I can watch most any show I like (They have yet to add Fresh Prince of Bel Air) is via subscription to In2Streams. I have been a subscriber to this service for some time and am a big fan of it. I get to watch any episode of any season of any show that I like so long as it’s listed on their service. They have recently started to encode all of their episodes in a high quality format so that even though this is a streaming internet service, you can watch your shown in full screen and notice only a small level of quality deficiency. Don’t get me wrong. It’s not crystal clear but you can easily read the text of credit screens r subtitles for when an alien race is saying something devious.
As of this post, they have only encoded 133 of their shows (7,500 episodes altogether) in this manner but there are more added most every day. Including the shows which have not been encoded in a high quality format, the list contains over 500 shows with tens of thousands of episodes.
Aside from Stargate, I get to watch everything from South Park, to Star Trek, (any series) to Get Smart, to Invader Zim, To Heroes, to Lost to whatever. The best part is that it is all commercial free. For $15 USD a month, it kicks the heck out of my cable service and offers up more choice than any of the cable service providers out there now. I have been a subscriber to this service for about three years now (it was originally called something else) and it has only gotten better. I can see no indication that they will up and disappear any time soon and I would vouch for their integrity if you’re squeamish about who you give a credit card to.
Updating occurs frequently and so long as you’re willing to wait a day or so (some cases not even an hour) you will get to see the latest episode of your favourite show without commercials and on your own time frame.
The high quality page is my favourite page and so I’ve taken the liberty of taking a screen shot to show you. Aside from being able to go full screen, you can also go to the resizeable in browser player so you can size the window any way you like to fit with your desktop layout if you’re not watching in full screen. Personally I like to watch In2Streams and brows the web at the same time so this option is great in some cases.
I would recommend this service in a heart beat to anyone who isn’t entirely satisfied with their cable service. To be clear, I’m not paid to expound the qualities of this service or anything of the sort, I just really like it. If they ask you who on earth sent you, (I doubt they will) just tell em CP had a hand in it.
Just as Blogs are they way of the future where News Media is concerned, streaming internet television is the way of the future where passive consumer entertainment is concerned. They don’t have films up yet and haven’t made any plans to do so but I’ll bet it’s just a matter of time.
Hello.
I like your site and wanted to know if you would be interested in exchanging blogroll links.

Sure. Why not.
