My last post talked about mutual respect and the need for it.  You know I actually get notably depressed because I find myself unable to respect police.  It’s because of junk like this.

Just…why?  Why is it that some people have no respect for the hallowed position that they hold as enforcers of the law?  the most vulnerable among us (and we can all find ourselves in that position at some point in time) look to these people for protection.  Whether that protection be from others who wish us harm or even from the government itself, it is that protection which garners the respect of the protected.  This kind of attitude does not help me respect police in any way shape or form.  Even their sense of humour is distasteful.
