there has been some flap in Canada lately on the issue of transit buses displaying ads which expound the idea that there is no God.  Bumbling about on city buses, certain groups wish to see ads that proclaim not only that there is no God (yes, sit there horrified) but that you can be a good person without the influence of God in your life to boot.

The impertinence!

Now the point has come up again and again that these ads are anti-Christian.  This much was mentioned by an angry bus driver in the UK.

There would be no way buses would be able to drive around with an anti-Muslim message like that on the side mentioning Allah. There would be uproar.

Of course Allah is the Muslim God so uhh…it’s definitely an anti-Muslim ad.  Saying there is no God is the same as saying that Allah doesn’t exist.  It’s anti-religion overall but one should expect nothing but a self centred and insecure ego complex from virulently faithful members of any faith.

And no, I don’t believe Darwin to have been a god of any sort.  I know that’s supposed to be a joke to end this post off with but I’ve received this as an earnest type of rebuttal of sorts before.
